Where do you shop online for bass gear?

Post by AaronE » Mon Jun 16, 2008 9:10 am

I'm a regular shopper at Cabelas and Tackle Warehouse, just wondering where everyone else is doing their shopping for new gear.

I can't say that I've ever really bought any kind of fishing tackle online. If I did I think it'd be Cabela's though.

I usually get my tackle and gear locally here in olympia. But if I need something specific that I can't get here I order from bassproshops, either my catalog or online!

I bought a few things from Cabelas because I got one of those $25 Visa Giftcard things.....I'll never buy tackle online at Cabelas, or anywhere again. Prices were bad at Cabelas and I like supporting my local tackle shops and see that the money goes to a business I like...

Anyone know a good local shop in Snohomish County? I agree with the online prices.... too much for me, especially when you add shipping costs.

I agree with sam that cabelas carries high prices! On the other hand if they carry something I need I am willing to pay the price. I am not willing to drive more than thirty minutes to find a better bargain.

Yeah, the gas prices counteract that. But on the flipside, you can usually get what you want that day at a local place.

I do not order from Cabelas at all anymore because there is SALES TAX now because they have a store here. I order everything from Tackle Warehouse or Bass Pro. But I pretty much do all my shopping at Three Rivers Marine in Woodinville, they have it all!

I buy from tackle warehouse and basspro online. Its hard to find different cranks spinnerbaits and some terminal tackle locally. If you want plastics, rapalas and ewg worm hooks, there pretty much anywhere. As for local, I think sportco and three rivers has a pretty good selection; Wallmart and Joes bring up the rear. I like to find deals online myself. Ebay is also a good place to look! C&R boys!

Tackle Warehouse is my new favorite. They will price match anyone, free shipping on orders over $50, free t-shirt on orders over $150, no sales tax, and free stickers with my order. Barlow's is a close second with Stamina following up close behind.

I use many sites, but one to check out is www.landbigfish.com

They have numerous small tackle shops associated with them and I have been able to get many backorderd items rather quickly through them.

I just checked them out. Most Yamamoto Senkos were $6.50 for a bag. Ouch! That doesnt include shipping.

I'm cheap and buy from online sites where I can get at least 40% off retail price.

My favorite places:

Ebay
