Pend Orielle Co Lakes - Public or Private?

Anyone have any information on if the below lakes are public or private? THese are all in Pend Orielle County. I dont even know if these really exist but they were found on maps.google.com. I can only assume they are either private, or are not being stocked by the State. This list should pretty much go from North to South. Or at least does anyone know an easy way to find out? Is there like a county or state dept (other than fish & game) I can contact?

Mountain meadows private small 1 acre stocked with tons of rb trout. If you ask the guy who owns the lake he will probably let u fish.
no spiney ray fish.


If I remember corectly anderson had some nice trout and access.
small stockers and holdovers.

Contact the Pend Oreille Valley Sportsmans Shop in Newport. They had a newspaper last spring for fishing PO. All the lakes were listed with access info and fish info. The border lake was about the only one without any fish.

Heck you live close enought to Idaho why not just cross over and fish lk Pend Oreille...lol

Look several of these up on Google Earth. Many of the lakes that you mentioned are so small that by mid summer they are basically marshes or dry. You can also see what the roads are going into the lakes and if there is a farm on the shoreline.
Some in the national forest have been closed off to automobile access to preserve the game life in the surrounding area ie. Vanes Lake.

niether of these two lakes are on your list, but Horseshoe lake ( the one outside of deer park) is small enough for your canoe, yet has enough space to not be right on top of other people. the area around the lake is private, but there is a public boat launch on the SW shore. i have yet to see more than 5 or 6 boats at a time on the water. and it has BASS!
the other is No Name Lake, which is right next to Marshall lake. It's almost a puddle, but a deep one, and the Cutthroat jump all morning and all evening. the trail to the lake is steep, so bring a friend to help carry the boat! I usually float tube this one with a fly rod and never come home without fish smell on my hands. MMMMMM.....fish smell....

Palmer lake has trophy trout (browns and bows) and public launches. Lots of bluebacks.

Bead Lake has 20+ lb macks and 15# burbot and a public launch. I haven't been able to catch any over 5# though. Lots of bluebacks.

Yeah I know about Horseshoe, I fish it regularly, but for this thread Im more interested in the lakes not listed in the regs and that I've never heard anybody fishing at....access roads are not an issue as I'll hike into a lake if I know there are fish there.
