Cascade Musky Association does community Service on Lake Tapps

Post by Rich McVey » Mon Jun 08, 2009 9:41 am

This past weekend at Driftwood Point Park on Lake Tapps, 11 CMA members joined forces with the park superintendant to level the framework of a gazebo, strip off the old roofing and roof sheathing, and replace with new OSB sheathing, felt paper and comp roofing and painted it.

The work party started at 8 am Sat, Jun 6 and was completed by 3pm. Lunch was provided by the park.

This is great example of how CMA is trying to improve the musky fishery by working with homeowners on Lake Tapps. It is important for everyone to continue to work with educating people who don't fish for muskies so they understand the benefits of having us on the lake. We don't just promote good fishing, but we understand we share the lake and anything we can do to improve the environment, keep it clean and safe, and work together to accomplish this is also part of the plan.

Very nice indeed. Its really nice you all put back in to the area you fish in. Good job. Did I mention I have a lil roofing to be done at my home.Hint hint...
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Nice job CMA, to take the time out of the daily grind, get set up, and do the project for the benefit of the park, home owners, and the fish.
Everybody's time is money, well spent CMA
