SandyShore Lake/Jefferson County - Bass Question

Post by fishnislife » Sat May 12, 2007 5:00 pm

Does anyone know what the status of this lake is for bass? I read in a Washington lakes book that there where nice sized bass in there but I have never seen anyone catch one or say that there is indeed bass in there. I have fished it twice now for bass with no luck. ](*,)
A little help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of anyone catching bass in there, fished it once for trout. I know they have trout and catfish but I'm not sure about bass.

I have fished the lake a couple times for bass and I can assure you that there are indeed bass there. They seem to be hard to catch but I have caught a few but only up to 12 inches. I have seen a few nice ones that didn't want to bite however. I also hooked some trout on floating Rapalas in that lake. The road is sometimes closed during fire danger so it might be wise to check if you are driving a long distance.
A nice bass is too valuable a resource to enjoy catching only once.

Thanks Bass Tracker for the info. I have yet to catch a bass there but it looks like such a great bass lake though. I will continue to try.
