Just use the lower speeds until you get used to it. After that you will know how it handles and what to expect from it. After you get used to it kick it high and let her rip.
Don't worry, the electric motor won't rip the transom out or anything

The boat will weigh more than your raft so I think you will ba able to troll OK with it

Careful though, a 55lb thrust WILL rip the transom off of that. Probably a good skiing boat too with all that power!

That's what I was thinking...maybe strap that sucker down on that Tahoe and you're good to go fishingmachine...look no further...you could even moore it on Beaver Lake...permanent anchor bouy baby!

Moor that thing on the lake and all the fish will hide under it. ( or run from it)
Be able to fish half the lake without moving it.
