Anoying popup adds

Post by Larry3215 » Mon Feb 22, 2016 11:32 am

There are some new pop up adds that are not nice. They even make reporting this a little difficult.

fishinChristian,

Are you saying GM ads in general are annoying, or are you saying that you get this ad on the bottom of the site too?

I ask because I've never seen this ad on the site, nor had any other complaints about it other than Larry, and our ad network people are telling me that we're not currently serving ads like this.

It was there for that entire session - maybe two times I logged on in a row, but its gone now Aaron.

Maybe we scared it off :)

I see the pop up, too. Very annoying. A PITA.

And when you close the add, it comes right back as soon as you switch pages or refresh.

Please get rid of this ad, I'm all for Chevy but not for annoying pop ups

Enable ad blockers, and you'll put an end to NWFR. Just sayin.

We'll have this ad thing figured out in the next 24/48 hours.

what Aaron said. Yes, it's one of the most annoying ones we've gotten yet, and totally not allowed in our contract. So it's annoying to us on multiple levels.

I don't mind so much if they give you a way to close it. This one can't be closed even if you open and go to their site.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

The ad clearly has a CLOSE [X] on the top right of the ad.

Well, clearly 8-[ , I didn't see the close above the ad. I looked on the ad. I tried to get it to pop up again in real time but it didn't. That was the first and only time it has happened to me.

I'm getting slammed, literally every time I go to a new page it pops up. They must think my 2002 Chevy is due to be traded in. If they keep popping up this ad maybe we'll make enough money to buy me a new truck?!?!?!?

LOL, I would be in huge hot water if I was ever to suggest such a thing. =;

I sent off another cease and desist e-mail. I sure hope they get the code switch soon, it's REALLY ANNOYING. [angry]

FYI
Add pops up every new page load.
Blocks close to half the page.
