Bait Lakes in Spokane, WA

Post by AdsBot [Google] » Tue Jan 15, 2008 10:27 pm

Hey guys. I'll be moving back to go to school at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. Any suggestions on must fish lakes in that area? I will be living near Division/Hamilton and will have my Toyota Tacoma 4-wheel drive rig. I'm looking for lakes that are not "fly-fish only" and lakes that you can use worms and powerbait. I believe Marc is well versed in this area, so perhaps he and many others in Spokane can help me out here. I'll have a 7' inflatible with an electric motor, and I would be willing to travel 20 miles from the university. Thanks so very much in advance as usual. Rutt

There are many in the Spokane area. Here are just a few:

Fish Lake- Tiger trout are getting to be around 16-18", electric motors allowed, bait o.k.
West Medical- Some very large rainbows, 20"+ but I wouldn't eat them....muddy.
Clear Lake- Large German Browns and good sized rainbows, bait o.k., speed limits on both ends which are buoyed off.
Silver Lake- A little of everything including Tiger Muskie.
Badger Lake- Good rainbow fishing, bait o.k.
Williams Lake- Same as Badger.

If you want to venture north, there are many lakes that are within an hours drive that have good cutthroat and rainbow fishing. Many of the lakes also have bass and bait fish.

You can click on a county on the home page map and it will bring up all the lakes in the county and you can read the fishing reports.

GO ZAGS!!!
