Ah the skok. A ruined fishery. From the most egregious sport violations, human waste, litter, and tribal netting. If the department wanted revenue they could cash in on this river with all the violations.

Lets face it, The WDFW management isn't all that great.
Tribes have a ton of money. And I'm sure there's under the table deals happening.
Tribal leaders funding the politicians, and politicians taking note of that, and giving them what they want

you'd think william hunter and the hunter family would have some pull in this issue... kind of hard to sell $100 gate keys if there are no fish....

pretty much BS. is there anybody with free time on their hands who can incessantly call the wdfw/whoever and get this taken care of?

also, people ragging on the skok is getting tiring. The people I've fished with haven't been breaking the law. people arent pooping in the river. I'm curious as to where all the inhuman mouthbreathing snaggers are on the skok.

Honestly Jerry, you don't know. So before you go running your mouth or have thrown into a tribal net?

Sept. 15-Dec. 15: Terminal gear (hooks, weights, lures, or baits) and line must not be within 25' of tribal gillnets.

Doesn't apply until September! Hahaha.

I say we stand in front of them and herd the fish around the nets.

It was real terrible...started at guard rail at the beginning of the flood tide drifting eggs...was killing the mini jacks and trout! LOL...went 5/5!

Unfortunately the only fish that was close to legal was a 10" mini jack that my buddy got on eggs as well. We walked down a bit from guard rail instead of up like most guys did and the flood tide didn't bring anything sizable in with it.

But how bout them mini jacks???? Aren't they a hoot???? LOL...TURRIBLE!

We cut our losses at 8am and went to another river and brought home some steel.

And even if the nets aren't in Friday through Sunday, the tribe has blocked all the deep slots with net poles, making it almost impossible to drift or float through the slot...and heaven forbid you did get a sizable fish on, hope it doesn't decide to wrap around those poles!

Didn't see this until now. Last Tuesday and Wednesday there were over 300 fish in my hole. Friday opener, not including myself I saw 5 fish hooked and 1 caught. Myself, I hooked 9 and caught 5. I was the last 7 hook ups for the day that I saw. Saturday skunked. Yesterday, I caught one at the upper guard rail. Today I hooked one but lost it. Im 6-6 so far

Yes I have seen WDFW hand out tickets for doing so.
Disrupt the Indians gill netting and the WDFW will be the least of your worries. And it's all been noted in a public forum.
