A client in a state institution used to call me Mr John and I was tired of the name I used to use.

I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our regional nickname is "yoopers." Those that live in the lower peninsula, below the bridge, are called "trolls" (they don't like that as much as we like yooper). I'm very proud of where I come from and it was the first thing I thought of when I joined the site.

Around here in certain circles, your either a westside Husky or your an eastside Coug. On a certian day every fall, the rivalry between the two is most intense.

Thanks for sharing and keeping the thread alive. Thats a cool story Mr John. I used to be called Big John at an old job. Lol

My favorite aircraft is an "Edge540" ( think Red bull Air Races or crazy aerobatics ) About 8 years ago the comcast guy wanted a user name so he could set up my email account and I threw out Edge540. Kinda stuck and i use it on a bunch of different forums. My real name is Steve :salut:

I thought the word "cogitate" aptly described me. I'm an old man. I do most of my best fishing between my ears as rest in my recliner.

'90 is the year my only daughter was born, which also is the year I started taking bass fishing seriously. Guitarfisher, thanks for pointing out your fly rod in the reflection of your pickup. As a fellow musician thats pretty cool. AMX, that was my favorite car when I was a kid. I still remember the ads for them.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
