It all depends on the lake man. Best bet is to hit up the lake, see what others are using and experiment yourself. I always liked the pink power eggs and they seem to do OK for me...

Worms with some air in them too will get you a chance at some bigger and different species of trout (cutts, browns, etc)
Don't chase reports...Be the report others chase....

rainbow pb always seems to work use it with chartuese cheese mellows caught trout at about every lake i been to with that

I've used dough bait of all colors, and brands, but when it comes down to it I've found that the good ol' worm and marshmello works best for me. May sound a bit strange to some of you, but I've found that nothing works like a " jet puffed " marshmello.

jet puffed marshmelows like the 1s u eat? never had luck on those my self but i nail them with green or charcheese mellows... what lakes u fish in just curios?

Never had much luck with marshmellows. They always take powerbait like it's crack so I've always done well with that.
