guna buy some gold eh .....was down $60 buck$ yday .... been down as much as $85 buck$ so far 2day !!!! .... corse you lost 2 cents on your dollars since last week .... <shrugs> ...

gas prices came down a lil eh .... oil's up about $5 this month ... ya wanta know some where your going to get bet Dec 31st ??? ...ethanol !! ... not only is it going to go to 15% ( the fed's attempt/plan to kill/ruin EVERY old internal combustion engine in the country) aaand 12/31 the ethanol subsidy RUNS OUT !!..
stick that in your tank and watch your pipes smoke it !!..
i heard/read a figure of ... ethanol is 15 - 20 % cheaper than gas ... rrright now ..... so at a 100% mark up ??? could add 30-40% to a gal of gas ?? ... plus the normal fall/winter blend that's more expencive ... plus any that the price of oil pushs it up ???..

i know all the EURO crap is stll a mess and the whole "deal" could fall apart any day .... probably would have already butttt everyones "on vacation" !!!

on this side of the pond ... yday's unemployment claims # was 407000 ... ehh bout the same as it has been for weeks/months ... the "JOBS" report came out 2day ... they had to "adjust July's # down from 115000(a # that got alll the politicion types quack'n about how good it was.. made the DOW jump 'n gold prices move) to 85000 when the unemployment rate was 9.1% ... the exspurts! were figure'n on ANOTHER weak # ... some 50 .. some 70 ish .. some a 100000 .... ZEROOOOO !!! ... yea 1-1= ZEROOO... LORDY !!! ..
oh and the unemployment rate? ... after monthssss of 400000 a week of new claims ??? .... 9.1 % ... duuhhhhh .. LORDY

so ? what do i "know" ... i know all the shoes are still up in the air(and some fish'n gear i hear) all the dominos and cans of worms are still in play ... and i still say/think the EURO mess is the biggest threat ... Italy might not be able to live up to their end of the "deal" .... the ECB and some of the euro nat banks dont have the funds to cover the "deal"(bunch of 'em had to go into debt to cover the Greek "deal") .. and that the Germans (who are the major supply of cash for the "deals") are going to be have'n a vote (i think next week) to tell their gov NO !! ... that they cant put any more money into the "deals" !!!

so ... i havent changed my mind/outlook on any of it .. IMO its still teater'n on the edge ... 1 shoe .. 1 domino or piece of fish'n gear .. that's all it would take .. it will probably be in europe or the middle east or africa .... doesnt matter where/what it is ... our/the US's condition that our condition is in !?!?!? ... what do you think/"know" will happen to our economy if there's a major melt down of some kind somewhere in the world ??? ....LORDY

Crazy on how fragile the economy is, I bought some silver on Wednesday when hearing the traditional septembers stock market, jumped up $1.5 this morning, I'm hoping for $50 end of this month. Gold may hit $2000, but I can't afford it today.

NBC just reported today may be the worst starting average since 1974! Not much to look forward to, might need to stock up on some more food and pms for 2012!

As for fishing, I've been doing well on the Duwamish/Green by twitchin jigs. Killer method!

soooooo the DOW closed .. down 250 points ... EURO markets got kill'd .. biggest losers were their banks !!! ..... i heard read that the Greek 10yr bond is at like 48% ??? ....LORDY

our banks got hammered pretty good 2day too !!! ...
good news is .... right after the DOW closed (for 3 days) ... the FHFA anounced that they filed suit against a whole pile of banks (for pass'n bad mortgage paper) to the tune of over $100 billion !!!!! ....
B of A and B of A /Merrel both are get'n hit .... B of A went upto something over $8 buck$ this week after get'n crazy Warrens'n cash and sold some assets total'n about $13 bill in 1 week !!! ... butttt it still went bk down and closed at about $6 !!! .. what do ya figure it'll open at tuesday morn'n ??? ... and what's that going to do to the DOW ???

This worldwide debt stuff makes me dream bad stuff at night thinking about the 8 year old and where her life may be headed down that road.

Maybe just move to Australia or Canada and learn to speak with an accent.

In the meantime hopefully be making some GOOD memories for her to have stored away regardless of the future. Trying to get that first pink for her. She isn't much into fishing this year but gonna be working to get that turned around.

Interesting,, with all the fuss about the gold prices, I was up in the woods in the Sultan Basin Recreation area yesterday. Not since I was a kid have I ever really seen or heard of anyone doing any sort of gold panning or jerry rigged mining of sorts.
Now up on these streams yesterday I see a half dozen different spots on the river where people have got all kinds hoses/suction and stuff working their way through the mud. At one little break in the bushes I walked down to the river. Saw posted signage regarding a claim that was made for that location. Found evidence of fresh panning at the river.
The DNR guard up at the reservoir said that a bunch of people were making "Ilegal claims" downstream. Whatever he meant by that,, not sure.
But anyway, point is that in times with gold prices as they are, it was interesting to see people moving into this type of pursuit. Some people move into "Smash and grap" others into gold panning.

it's going to be aaaanother one of THOSE weeks ... wait'n ... yday waited to hear what the German courts were going to decide whether all the shadey deals around the Greek bail out were "OK" ... they decided yep ... so the world is SAVED !!! ... again ... Asian markets had been dooowwnnn for days in a row because of EURO stuff and our "jobs" report last week ... the EURO markets have been down trip didgits for daysss ..
... tuesday morn'n the DOW opened down 270 points ... gold went up over $1900 buck$ again ... which was a "target price" 'n the profit takers scalped $30 off of it in a couple hours ... DOW got bk all but about 100 points by the close ...

today ?? DOW opens up 125 (up 180ish now) ... gold got hammer'd all night/morning it's at $1800 .... LORDY ...
only "good" news ... the dollar was up to a lil over 76 cents !! yday .. course that's kind of inflationary soooo.. 1 weird/funny thing about that is .... the Canuk dollar has been at $1.01 through that whole move ... US dollar is up (what dang near 5%) in a matter of a few days and the Canuk dollar dont move??..LORDY..

Oil for October delivery CL1V +3.79% advanced $3.32, or 3.9%, to end at $89.34 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That was oil's highest settlement since Aug. 3, when oil closed at $91.93 a barrel, on its way down after a peak near $100 a barrel in late July. Meanwhile, another storm could develop in the Gulf of Mexico, the heart of the U.S. oil and gas industry, in the next few days.

Tropical Storm Lee caused platform and rig evacuations over the weekend and halted most production.

U.S. government officials reported Tuesday that workers had started re-boarding platforms and rigs shut down as Lee passed the area. Lee made landfall Sunday in Louisiana and caused widespread flooding and destruction in the Southeast.

A yet-unnamed storm system could be upgraded to tropical depression during the next day or so, the National Hurricane Center said Wednesday.
