Pizza Party/Swap Meet Items Available

Post by Mike Carey » Mon May 28, 2012 7:17 pm

Hi All,

Let's use this thread to post a list of items you'll be bringing to the swap meet. Items can be for swap or sale. No need to list prices, we just want to give everyone an idea of what may be available to swap/buy.
Edit your posts as you find more stuff, don't make a new post.

NOTE - let's not make requests to "hold" an item. It should be first come, first served. If you get to the event when it starts you'll have a better chance getting what you want!

I figure I'll have some good used spinning rods, spinning reels, soft plastics, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, crankbaits/diving plugs, some old, some new. Tackleboxes, some old, couple new. Maybe props for my old trolling motor that just broke a week ago, unless I can figure out how to fix it, or jury rig it to use on a small 10-12 foot pond jumper some day. 3 or 4 or 5 stainless props for a Mercury/Mariner 150 horspower outboard. Other stuff perhaps.
Tom.

I will have
Two pontoon kickboats, fly tying vice, (see em here: http://www.washingtonlakes.com/forum/vi ... =9&t=14468)
kick fins
several nets of different sizes
Scotty rod holders
1/4oz pink jigs (stock up for next year)
New Felt sole wading boots
Big Tackle box
Various tackle and whatever else I can dig up
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I expect to bring several vintage Mitchell spinning reels that I have cleaned, repaired, lubed and refurbished. Models:

300A - later improved versions of the well known Mitchell 300;
302 - saltwater reel, the large one;
306 - intermediated in size between the 300 and the 302, for salmon & steelhead size fish;
308 - smallest and lightest of the Mitchell spinning reels known as ultralight.

These reels are all in excellent mechanical condition. I only handle those made in France. For a few of these models I plan to bring one or two more collectable examples.

I expect to bring:

Over 75 vintage Mepps spinners from 1970's and beyond.
Many other types of trout spinners and lures, mostly vintage.
Possibly a FishTV (Monitor and camera for underwater viewing pleshu)
Lots of terminal tackle.
One pair of summer waders, breathable. Likely has a slight leak. (you find it) Size large.
One pair of Hodgman 3-4 mm neoprene waders. Pretty sure it has a leak also. (again,you can find it [biggrin] )
Salt water terminal tackle, hooks etc.
Ambassaduer Millionaire? level wind reel. Works fine, just not for me.

Maybe I will dump my Mitchell 300 collection. Have about 5 of these. At least one is with the original box and paperwork, warranty card, etc. about40 years old and only used a couple times by me.

A pair of size 10- 10.5 wading shoes, never used.
*** Lamiglass XC704, power 4.*** never used.
Shakespeare Ugly stick Med Action. (Rod I use for my downrigger salt fishing) used, fine rod, I just broke the sister rod, so I will replace both at this time)

Likewise, I was thinking the same thing. I'll show you mine, if you show me yours.

Ok, I have a small list, might go thru my soft plastics and bring more.

So far I have the following;

some spinning rods, some good, some with the tips replaced, some without the tips replaced.

Some old and some not so old crankbaits.

Some old and a never used tacklebox, and a slightly used once box

Lots of books on Bass fishing, a set of 19 books covering most game/sport species in the US of A

3 Bassmaster books on 'best tactics & techniques' , 'best of lures', 'best of bassmaster - how to treasury'.

Not bad for one day's scrounging thru the back bedrooms, and cabinets in the garage.
