Fishing at/near Moclips?
Folks, I will be visiting my daughter in Moclips at the beginning of February and am interested in "wetting a line" while there. I am going to do some guided river fishing but wondered if there is any action nearby from the surf or from a pier. Should I consider bringing any of my saltwater gear with me? Any feedback is appreciated.

I am not looking at the map at this very moment.... but the nearest pier is probably going to be Westport, which isn't really that close. (again refer to the map) When you see Ocean Shores on the map... that town has a levy which is at the end of the town road, you can fish from this levy. I think it may be like 45 min. from Moclips., look at the map.
In the Moclips area you can always fish from the surf. I have caught perch like this. Do some poking around in the saltwater forum under surf fishing. You will see previous thread that speaks to this. You have to be VERY CAREFUL. There can be rip tides that can be very dangerous.
PM me if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the reply. I'll do some research on that info.
