Natetreat, how do you rig up your greenlings? Floats? or off the bottom?

Nate, you and your friends are truly jetty masters! What a take! You're report and pictures have given me the itch-- I'm going to try to for the elusive razor clam/jetty fishing doubleheader on Sunday.

To add another picture (maybe not epic, but I like it) here is the coolest black rockfish I have ever caught:
Image

Not only did he have the battle damaged tail and fins, but his flesh was way more fatty than any other black rockfish I have eaten. I think this guy was quite the risk-taker in life!

Also, how was the perch? I've only ever eaten redtail.

Perch are always good. With a good pan sear, salt peperr, spices, they taste great. Thin fillets, they're delicate, but very good. I didn't eat that one, but I've caught many striped perch in the past trips.

Both. Sometimes I let 'em swim, sometimes under a big ole float. Gotta keep 'em outta the rocks, especially when the current picks up. Been experimenting with putting them on a leash, we'll see how that works out.

Although I have been swamped at work, I have managed a few outings this spring. Truly my favorite season of the year, and as time goes on and I figure these fish out more and more, I find no lack of productivity. Here are a few recent pics.

Lets save the best for first, FLATTIES!

We've had many days with boxes full of these.... I got so excited I even forgot to XYZ. [flapper]

And if you wanted to know what a 36" fish looks like taped TO THE LINE, here she is folks. Sorry, that came home with me.

Yes, its been great.... and even better? 3 more weeks of bliss! I've hit the salt every weekend since May 1st and haven't come home empty yet, and its all been done with the damn busted left hand... hahaha Good luck out there, and tight lines.
