RE:Albacore fishing
I have always wanted to go on a charter for tuna. I know last year they were the shallowest they have ever been and they tried to blame it on global warming. I think they were only 8 miles off the shore in westport. But this year I haven't heard much about them. I don't know of any charter names, but they have a bunch in westport. We used to go down to westport every Aug. - Sep. just to pick up a whole tuna. You can get them for really cheap if you buy the whole thing and fillet it yourself. They actually have 4 loin like pieces of meat instead of fillets. We would smoke half the meat and make smoked tuna fish sandwiches. They are to die for. I also know that some of the charters they offer last 4 days

You would probolly have better luck at ilwaco because its farther south than westport. in ilwaco theres a store, not sure of the name but its big, and has boats on the water and a dock, just right of the marina, that sells albacores for cheap.
