Sea bass/ling

I ama going up to canada this year and would like some tips on how/ where should I fish for sea bass/ling kelp, or out deep?
I heard that flounder are good bait?

Fish near rocky areas and kelp beds. just use lures that look like pt wilson darts for seabass, but they will work for lings. if you want a huge ling, catch a small kelp greenling and take a halibut hook or two and stick it in the greenling. let the greenling just roam around and you could get a very nice ling
