Baitfish catching
I see many schools of baitfish around the pier when I have been fishing. Since saltwater fishing is new to me is there a legal way to scoop them up around here? I know cast nets are illegal so I have no clue. I sometimes bring em up when squid jigging but thats pretty inefficient.
Re: Baitfish catching
The goto gear for this is called a Sabiki Rig. It is legal for use in the saltwater areas of Washington State and is pretty darn effective. Just do a internet search on it and you will find plenty of information including videos. If you can get down to Outdoor Emporium, I know they have several different sizes and variations from which to choose and run around $3.00 a set.
