stupid seals/sea lions/ whatever they are!!! [pink salmon trip]

Post by JT26 » Tue Aug 07, 2007 11:26 pm

I was fishing for pinks for the first time in my life today at Dash Point pier, and hooked one after a couple of hours of fishing. When i brought it under the dock, it was a little to big to pull over so somebody called for a net. The fish was flopping around at the top then everybody yelled stuff like watch out. The next thing i know my drag is screaming and my fish isnt under the dock anymore. The sealion or seal spooled my line and took my fish and my only buzzbomb so i was done. a few people had there 4 fish limit it seemed like

But anyway, it was a good day for everyone else at the dock. There was proboly 90 people thier and only a few wenthome without fish. It was pretty cool to see everyone throw there buzzbomb/dart in when they saw the shore anglers catch one. About 4-5 schools came in.

One guy caught a 12-14 lb king on a ultralight trout set-up. All the people on the dock were amazed, and i went over to look at it and it seemed like an average king...

going to neah bay thursday so dont know when ill be able to fish the piers again, hoe long will they be out there?
