i heard rumors that redondo and seattle are producing some squid. Does anyone know if edmonds pier is producing any?

I know that Redondoe has squid. But I think right now its still a little early. Last year was my 1st year but we didnt go until December and I heard it dosnt start until november. But my budy did catch one this summer, durring the day, on a buzz bomb.

there's a report over at squidfish.net that says some guys are pulling limits at redondo right now. you can actually catch squid year round, they just get bigger in winter. average size in october november is usually 4-6 inches. i like going in october novermber cause its not as cold. sunset high tide usually the best. i might try my luck friday evening.

I've heard of people doing good toward mid-late October and some occasional reports of good squidding in early October, but for me it's a Novermber-March fishery...

I was down at Redondo in July at 1:00 pm on a 80+ degree day and saw a guy catching squid one after another. I couldn't believe it as I have only caught squid at night as well. I have squided down at des moines a couple of times but have not seen any caught. Should be picking up soon I think, if it doesn't rain too much...

I've done pretty well squiding at the Brownsville Marinia in Kitsap county also I have a few squid during the day time at Illahee state park.

My buddy went down to Des Moines Marina a few days ago. He was there from 9 till 11 and he walked away with 6 squid. He said there was other people down there and they were doing really well. But some one did have a big spot light down there, so that might have been the reason they were doing so well.

sometimes it's hit or miss. I've heard of real good early season outings and I've also experienced some really slow squidding this time of year. Should be really good by thanksgiving...

Oh yeah and I havnt found it yet lol. I watch what they are doing and mimic it perfectly and it hasnt amounted to anything......yet

I know exactly what you mean. You watch their depth they drop their jigs down to, watch how often and how big of a jig they give, and still you get outfished 5-1...It's painful. I don't like it at all cause i like to be the one getting mimicked instead of being the frustrated one..
