I have no boat and check out my photo bucket!! I am not trying to rub it in but that is proof you don't need a boat or very much money!! I rent boats and thanks to Washington Lakes I have found some great guys to back seat for:cheers: I am keeping my eyes out and saving money for a personal pontoon or a little John boat! I still find myself bank fishing but here in Olympia I have sooo many lakes within a ten minute drive so I fish around until I find one that is turned on!! Try and find new places and use new things and if you do this you will find a place and pattern that will help you forget about a boat:-" (for now)

I have 2 boats but only use them about half the time. Some of the places I fish I catch just as many fish from the bank without the hassle of putting the boat in and fighting crowded launches.

FH, just go build one!
I have built rowboats for less than $70, and powerboats for less than $150, then just find a $100 outboard and you are in like a tall dog!

They aint cheap, neither is gas these days.
Pontoon boat/float tube is a way to get on the water for cheap. Just something to think about. You can often find a nice jon boat for $200-$300 occasionally. Stick a Minn Kota on that and you got a setup for small, local lakes...
