Help or Advice

Post by firemedic75 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 8:29 pm

Hello, I have a 2007 Honda 4 stroke 9.9 HO trolling motor set-up on a remote throttle control. Basically the throttle is by the captain’s seat. And I steer it with a linkage rod connected to the main motor. I bought it like this and thought I could convert it to a tiller control but I'm having no luck. Is there anything I could do?

If your outboard has no tiller handle then you'll need to purchase a tiller handle kit and install it or rob the parts from a scrapped unit. Contact your local Honda outboard dealer, they should be able to hook you up with a kit or the parts of one they have converted to remote control. If you are anywhere near Auburn, call Auburn Sports and Marine first.
