Most lakes have them. Wait until June and try worms on the bottom... Good Luck!

A few years back I caught a good sized cat (2lbs) on the North end of Lake Sammamish while fishing for bass in about 12' of water. Took my jig hard and fought like a smallie!

G-Man is right. There are a lot of catfish on Lake Sammamish. They're brown bullheads i think, but they actually get nice sized.
You can catch them from the shore, all around the mouth of Issaquah Creek. Just fish in the summer time right before it gets dark (they close the park when it gets dark). Worms on a bobber or the bottom works.

I think for channel cats your out of luck for the Renton/Issaquah area. Years ago I remember consistently catching catfish in Silver Lake, Cowlitz county. But your most likely going to need to take a trip to the East side of the State and hit up some of the lakes or the Columbia and Snake rivers. The state record channel cat came out of the I-82 ponds and I know that they are still in there, panfisher may be able to give you some hints.

Beaver Lake has some cats, and Pine does too. Still fish with a crawler.
