Ok so in a couple of weeks Ill be leaving the rain of Seattle and spending a few days in the sunshine out at Moses Lake. I am not very framiliar with Moses Lake. I was wondering how is the fishing this time of year and what would be my best bet to fish for? I will probably bring my pontoon (if the gf doesnt pack too much) so the shoreline wont be my only option. Most of my time I will be boating and four wheeling. With that said, I remember last year when we went out to some sand dunes we drove through a back road to get to the dunes. Next to the gravel roads where some great inlets that I saw many fisherman. It looked like a fun area to fish?? If anyone knows what I am talking about and could give some feedback that would be greatly appreciated. Also I always see a bridge people fishing off of. I assume they are going for crappie. I've heard Moses holds some walleyes. How about the trout size? Im a pretty beginner when it comes down to bass but I am going to try my luck.
Any feedback of what I should fish for? or better yet where and what to use that would be great. This isn't a dedicated fishing trip. So my fishing time is limited. If i could have a good idea of my setup before hand, perhaps I can get into the fish a little quicker. Quicker I can get into the fish, more of that quality "romantic" time I can get with her. Thanks guys.
Oh yeah, also are there any surrounding areas I could try my luck on that seem to produce?

Oh man if I were you I would make the 15 mile trip to the potholes. I never fish moses lake. I have been going to the potholes for 20 years and have only fished Mosses 1 time. The potholes would be perfect for your float tube, you could even dump you float tube on the Reservior and work the spillways and wasteways and catch anything the lake has to offer.
Im on my way to work right now, but if you are intrested in the potholes, shoot me a PM.

Has anyone fished Homestead lake, that I think is part of the hatchery inlet to the Moses Lake? It says it gets planted with Tiger trout and I was thinking of looking for it next week.
