Salmon limits

A lot of locations have salmon limits that state "Daily limit X. Up to X adults may be retained." For example, Puyallup is daily limit 6 with up to 2 adults. The regs state that "You may NOT continue to fish for SALMON after the adult limit has been retained."

Pretty straight forward. If the first two fish you catch on the Puyallup are any combination of 2 adult coho or chinook salmon you gotta stop fishing.

So, just to confirm, the only way I can reach the 6 fish limit on the Puyallup would be to catch 4 jacks before I catch a limit of adults. Correct?

Use the regulations and for any potential updates or changes go to the WDFW web site.

Call 360-902-2500 for updated Columbia regs. I found it up to date and very helpful.
