You're talking about the side where the houses are right?...Because normally you would take Reiter Rd. and keep going straight down into the Reiter Rearing Ponds...if I'm not mistaking....DannyLeslie wrote:Take Hwy 2 all the way out till you see Reiter Road. Itl be on your left if your coming from Monroe area. That road will take you back to the hatchery which is the Highway side.
Hatchery side is pretty easy to get to. I think there might be public access to the "highway" side as well though.DannyLeslie wrote:I was talking about the hatchery side, the side with all the houses is privete property unless you know someone that lives their I believe.
That's amazing, thank you very much! Basically park on the road the road next to Highway2?natetreat wrote:https://maps.google.com/maps?q=47.83561 ... 1&t=h&z=17
I can vouch on this, I've been broken into on that side.wolverine wrote:Be careful parking on the highway side. The local smash and grab boys work that spot pretty hard. Just look for the wide spot on the side with all the broken glass and you know you've found the right parking spot. Just follow the trail down the hill and respect the property owners rights.
I carry every time I am on the river as well. Was pulling my waders off one time and a guy walking by saw my holstered EMP and said "good idea" as he nodded at my hip.tsath24 wrote:Wow, a man can't just park and fish without having his car broken into. What a sad world....Im definately a respectful guy of people and their property, but if I saw someone doing that to my car they'd see some .40 hollow tips flying their way! Ha! Sorry to hear about that fellas and thanks for the directions!
Yeah it's always a good idea to take advantage of the second amendment. More so worried about animals than anything though. Lolbugmasta wrote:I carry every time I am on the river as well. Tweekers, twackers, crackheads....yeah I guess you can call them animals. Sucks that you can't just leave your car somewhere without having to worry about it. 4 spin and glows and left the change?! Jeeze....returnofthefish wrote:See the latest Skykomish report? A guy parked on the highway side to discover that some broke his window and stole 4 spin n glows.
What the hell is wrong with people?!?HOOKEDONFISHING wrote:We had a tire slashed and the car next to us all 4 were slashed a while back on hatchery side.
