I'm thinking of getting a W. W. Grigg rod for Muskie fishing this next summer. I've found a 9' 8 weight, 4 piece with sock and tube for $65. If I want an IM6 it would be $75. Is there any input from our family on these rods?
Thanks in Advance,

The suggested retail on those off of their site is $141.00. So $75.00 would be very reasonable if they are new. The 8wt. would be the lightest to go with. Go with the IM6 rod.

I have never used the WW Grigg rods, but I haven't heard anything bad about them. They have been around for a little over 50 years. They seem to have a descent warranty policy. Someone else might have some personal use feedback on their rods.

I have fished with a WW Grigg rod before, but only for a few minutes.

I found it to be a good rod, nothing like a Sage or a Winston, but much better than most. For $75, that sounds almost like a steal.

I just confirmed a sale, and bought an Albright rod from another website. It's an Albright, 9', 8-9 weight GP. I got a good price including shipping and I'm really looking forward to a decent reel and good 9 weight line to use for Tiger Muskies. I'm excited to use the new stick and I'm wondering what everyone would suggest for a decent reel and line. All suggestions gratefully accepted.
Thanks,

New Albright 9 weight rod showed up today. Hardly wait to use it.
Should be OK for Tigers.
