Clear Lake - Spokane County

Post by raffensg64 » Wed May 02, 2007 10:53 pm

Are there any fly fishing types out there who could offer some insight and tips on this lake? I last fished it in 2004. I always managed to get a few fish but never could get the action that other local lakes provide.

I went to school at Eastern and spend most of fall and spring quarters for 5 years in a Float tube. I have never done well there with trout. When the water warms up the panfishing and small bass action can be fun for a few hours throwing weighted nymths off a floating line, but I have alway caught good numbers but not any of quality. Honestly I have had much better sucess at Silver Lake which is closer to the town of Medical Lake. Silver has some browns that will take a fly and in late May early June the Crappie fishing via a fly rod is a kick in the pants!
