Any current info on Chopaka

Post by Falcon » Sun Aug 19, 2007 12:08 pm

Greetings:

Does anyone have reliable and current information on the situation at Chopaka Lake? Bass infestation and rehabilitation supposedly scheduled for the Fall of 07? Last time I went (June 07) it was quite slow. We could see trout cruising near the shallower areas close to the bottom, but I didn't actually see or catch any Bass. I caught two monsters (Triploids?) that were 25" and 23", but SO FAT they must have been 6-8 lbs! Only two fish in 4 days is muy slow, Si? Others around us caught a few fish also and the comments were about the massive size. Any body been this summer or very recently?
Thanks,
Falcon
