If your fishing from a boat, yes dragging a fly will typically get you some bites. when i fish from my pont...

Re: Fishing the Westport Boardwalk
I always fish the incoming tide. The best is typically mid to high tide. The bass that I caught the other day ranged from 1 to 3 pounds. I never use artificial bait. You just cannot beat live fresh bait.

Re: What's your favorite redtail surfperch rig?
Pile worms are not illegal. I personally spoke with Dan Ayres, He is the Lead Biologist for Coastal Shellfish in Region six. He told me that the words "Marine Worms" do not include Pileworms. I have a letter from him that he downloaded, http;//wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/shellfish/statewide_rules.html If yo...

Salty, It was just a year ago that I was in the same place you are in with buying the boat and getting the best for my money. I decided that I wasnt going to purchase my boat until i looked at the Boat Show. I knew that the Upper End boats (North River, Ductworth, Thunderjet) were way out of my pric...

RE:Corn. legal or illegal?
The way I interpet it, it you can use bait where your fishing, then whatever you put on your hook is ok. corn, goldfish , worms, powerbait, it's all the same in the regs. At least I can't see anything different. If I want to tie a pumpkin to the end of my line it's fine, I just wont catch anything....

Taught by my dad to fish them...not floss em. id say 90% of my salmon caught w/ corkies n yarn are fair hooked. The bite is all feel, its like trying to explain to somebody the pickup of a rubber worm. Get ...

RE:Combat fishing etiquette?
Depending on the battle ground, I'd love to come and help educate. i think that one of the most common mistakes when fishing on the river is making sure that you say "fish on" and dont point your pole toward the fish. ALet the pole do the work its intended to do. The other think is watch how far eve...
