Re: Bringing back the float connection

I'd love to join in. I have a car and can help with the transportation and help with rowing (although I have never rowed seriously before but I'd love to learn). PM if interested.

Re: New to summer steelhead- need advice

I've went only once to the Skykomish but I'm planning to go again. The last time I went the water was super clear and the people catching fish were using either jigs (1/8 oz) or beads at the end of a simple steelhead float setup. I used eggs cured with Borox and all I caught were small Rainbows. Fin...

Re: Does fishing in Seattle suck or do I suck?

Thanks everyone. Solid advice. I'm planning to hire a guide and then buy a small boat (per the guides recommendation).

John B, do you know any good guides for the Snohomish, Skagit etc. systems?

Re: Does fishing in Seattle suck or do I suck?

Thanks guys. That makes sense. I may have needed more time to adjust to the fishing in Seattle. But let me tell you, I tried pretty hard to catch fish. For a few weeks, I would go almost every day after work. I got the impression that the water was very big for the amount of incoming fish. Meaning t...

Hey guys, I moved to Seattle for the summer from Chicago and thought I would pound on some salmon. The opposite happened: I struggled to catch fish. I want to know if this is what one should expect or am I not that good? (I am considering going back to Seattle for a job). Here is my experience: I ca...

Re: Hi, new to the area.

I fish the sky quite a bit. One thing is for sure though fishing for steelhead can be tougher here then in the Great Lakes!! These fish are ocean running fish and tend be skittish ( I think I spelled that right) once they hit freshwater!! I also fish for silvers on the Wallace but that's in the fal...

Hi, new to the area.

Hi everyone, I just moved to Seattle from the Great Lakes, where I fished for "steelhead" in tributaries of the Great Lakes quite regularly for over two years. I know there is a quite a bit of information online for places to fish for summer steelhead (e.g. the Sky..) but I was wondering if anyone i...
