Re: Skookumuchuck river
I'm a bit confused, according to the WDFW's public access site list, blue creek is open year round, but according to the regulations pamphlet it is closed after april 14th until June 1st...? Which one is correct? Also, Skookumchuck river only open another 2 weeks for steelhead? Seems to be quite a ...

Re: Cowlitz this time of year?
Anyone been down lately?? Headed down Thursday for the first time since February and I haven't heard much. I noticed the dam got 300 steel and 300 springers last week so the numbers are getting better. Anyone have recommendations for high water tackle? The guys I go with are adamant about drift fish...

Lake sammamish Coho?!
Opened up for a month or so and no one is talking about it? Are they 100% lockjaw? Not enough to try for them? Hard to target? Noones talking to keep it to themselves? Anyone? Bueller? My dad is stubborn and the only lake he would take his boat to is the near by sammamish. If it's worth a shot I'll ...

Re: Cowlitz this time of year?
Thanks for the tips riverhuntern! And cool 😎 bodofish. The steelhead second run is on its way as well now as you said- last week the hatchery had 25 winter steel return as opposed to just 5 the week before and zero the week before that! Still small numbers but they're close! Hoping to head down ther...

So if I go next Thursday (was planning on it) should I go by blue creek hatchery as opposed to barrier dam?
Is there a different river ~2 hrs or less from Bellevue you recommend for salmon or steelhead this time of year?

Cowlitz this time of year?
I'm thinking of going down to the cowlitz next week but what's going on down there this time of year? I saw a YouTube of a dude who caught a springer already. A SPRINGER. Albeit from a boat and I will be bank fishing. But that Tacoma power website says they only got 5 steelhead and like 50 coho at d...

Re: Weekend Suggestions....Trout
I have personally never fished it but this is what I know from reading and hearing: They have Kokanee that can be caught by trolling the deep parts of the lake. There are also decent amounts of bass perch and quite a few rainbows. The rainbows (and presumably some perch and bass) can be caught by to...

My personal favorite is very simple. Just drifting a bead or just drifting a corky and yarn!
The leader will depend on the water clarity mainly, same goes with the size of pencil lead

Thank you very much this is very helpful.
I said atleast 150yards because that's the law, not because I was thinking that would stop the bullet, I believe it's because the noise can't be that close to others? Anyways thanks again

Target practice in the mountains/woods?
Hey all just curious who ever goes shooting in the woods/mountains instead of at a regulated range? ive read on WDFW that there are sections of baker/snoqualmie national forest where it's allowed with proper backstop and as long as you clean up (obviously) but that is a huge area and would have no i...

Hey guys just wondering if any of you have used SGammo.com to order handgun or rifle ammunition and how your experience was. They have a yelp page and facebook page with very good reviews so I'm thinking about using this website. It's just crazy how cheap some of the stuff is. Apparently it's becaus...

Re: Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish will re-open to fishi
There is also a nice cement fishing dock on nercer island at "Luther Burbank park" If you google map it an zoom in you will see the very cool layout it has, you can do the shallow end for perch and sunfish and such, and the deep walkway takes you out to atleast 20ft deep where I supposed you could t...
