Just curious if anybody actively fishes Case Inlet for flounders or lings? It's close to my house and doesnt require a bunch of planning to do.
Looking for areas around Allyn, bait and gear ideas.
Also if you've been successful at the Allyn Pier.
Cheers

Ok Fisherpeople, I was at Westport this weekend and failed miserably trying to get into some rockfish. I was attemping to jig a 1.5oz jighead and green speckled double tail grub and a white double tail grub. Nothing. Quite frankly, i didnt know what i was doing and foolishly didnt ask anyone on the ...

WDFW says Crawfishing in Salmon Closure Lakes Illegal
A co-worker of mine was up a Lake Cushman last weekend doing some crayfishing. Someone told him that the lake was closed to even pots so he called WDFW. Apparentlythey consider crawdads a fish. I thought, since they are regulated as a shell fish they would be legal to harvest in the lakes affected b...

Re: Crappie, bluegill, catfish, and maybe perch
I'm in the same boat. I'm not sure about catfish though most people say brown bullhead are all over the counties you mentioned. I fish Mason Lake a lot and it has Yellow Perch and Rock Bass. It's big enough to hide bluegill, but I haven't caught one yet in the small area I've fished. Tons of yellow ...

Re: Mason Lake Fish other than bass and trout
I guess now that I think about it I've caught yellow perch and a rock bass here. I don't have a boat for fishing so I'm stuck on the dock. It's real sandy and not a lot of cover in this area. So far no luck getting bullhead.

Mason Lake Fish other than bass and trout
I'm going to be up at my dad's place during the upcoming weekend on Mason Lake. I'm looking for info on other species other than trout and bass. I'm looking at just throwing something in from the dock.I've heard rumors of bullhead. any tips or advice for this lake would be awesome.

Re: Herring For Crawfish Bait
Right now I've tried Fairview lake, seems to be way to muddy and I haven't seen any evidence of craws being in that lake. And I've tried Wicks Lake as well. I just got access to a kayak so I'll probably expand my search now!

Herring For Crawfish Bait
Hey all,
I've been using herring, unsuccessfully, in Kitsap county in lakes I've been told there are crawfish. Has anybody had any luck using herring as a bait? I have used fresh trout in eastern Washington successfully and I wonder if I need to do the same here. All comments welcome, thanks.

Re: the fresh-water lobsterette - crawfish lakes *UPDATE*
I just wanted to add a lake for the list. I hauled a good four pounds from two traps and they were extremely tasty!! Beaver Lake, Okanogan county I have limited experience but I cut my bait so the meat and guts are exposed for the scent to go farther and quicker. I plan to start searching kitsap cou...
