Re: would you use a boat left on the shore of a secluded lak

Wow lets not go extreme and have people getting shot. There are some locations where I have used a raft in CT that was placed there by a person and everyone used it. It was on public land and people respected each other and kept it clean and even did some upkeep each time. I left a paddle and re-rop...

Re: Lake Tapps reopens to fishing

Curious how good bad the fishing will be after a major drain like the lake had. Hoping it did not kill the lake for a few seasons as it looks like a great place I wanted to try out!

Re: Kitsap Peninsula Bass Fishing........who's done it?

Square lake is an awesome bass lake. Long lake you will have to get out there early before the skiers. Once they start the bite turns off. Wye lake has been poisoned many times to kill the bass, but they do persist. Bay lake might be good, fish it before the weeds take over. Ive heard of bass in ti...

Re: Jerkbaits

Yup, work very good around this state. The best, so I've heard is the Vision One-Ten And Vision One-Ten +1 for a little deeper. In Gill, GP Sexy Shad, and GP Pro Blue. Other colors should also work. Other brands work fine also. The rick chun rc stx work just fine and are dirt cheap. I got a few on ...

Re: Kitsap Lake

Run deeper crankbaits like a shadrap or a bait that runs 10 feet or deeper. Use flourocarbon on 4-6 lb line and you should get a few. I did very well there a few weeks ago using this but now go elsewhere. The largest trout of this season came from here. Most of the deeper baits are very large and wi...

Re: Kitsap Peninsula Bass Fishing........who's done it?

I currently live in the area and fish all the lakes mentioned. I have not had a bunch of quality on any of the lakes on the peninsula. I have had a one fish day several times while on the bass hunt with a 3lb 14oz the largest of the bass since i have lived here. I hear stories all the time about 6lb...

Re: Rods for Small Children Pier Fishing

I feel based on fishing with my currently 5 year old since he was 2 and a half, that the best time will be letting them be on the beach with polls and casting. Give them enough space that there not hitting each other and let them go. I doubt there will be any catching going on, so the rubber fish th...

wlai are you looking for fluoro as leader or mainline? seaguar invisx is good for both, but id personally use fluoro in general just for leaders, for leaders i like seaguar sts, invisx and abrazx, viscious fluoro is decent, pline original and halo are pretty good, ive heard that maximas fluoro is a...

Re: Getting into Bass Fishing

Any of the robo worms are money, and there is a ton of video's on utube that show how to fish them. You need a fast or xfast rod to do well with weightless plastics and drop shot. I run 6lb mono or flouro. If your running braid with a leader you can look for a more moderate speed.

Re: Getting into Bass Fishing

I would look into the drop shot. This is a great tactic for the deep clear water we have here and the only new thing you will need is some hooks and baits. I like kietech but there are a ton of good baits out there. Go to tacklewarehouse.com and they have a section dedicated to it.

I am also looking for options and outfitting my yak with the 4 series models. The elite or one with DSI. I am guessing having all the bells and whistles is cool, but is the extra options worth it to you? I dont think i will be getting the DSI not because its another 50 bucks but because i also have ...

I love reactive targets, so you can see where you hit. I also love the resetting wig wags. If you can find a local seen that uses silhouette then those are a great time. They need to be thick for 30 cal and at close range you can still bend the crap out of them due to the power.

You did not say if you wanted new or used, but i think there are some good used reels out there. My favorite reels are the daiwa advantage, sol, and fuego spinning reels. They ran right bout that price range, and i find them around. I picked up an advantage 2000 for 99.00 new at sportsman's warehous...
