To all of those experienced muskie hunters out there, what are some good eastern Washington lakes to hit for targeting tiger muskie? I've never targeted them and I want to give it a shot this year. Also, some suggestions for tackle would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, I'll most likely get spending opening day at home. The weather over here on the east side isn't going to be the greatest plus I've still got a cast on my right hand.

I'll still have plenty of time to hit it after the hand is all healed up.

I picked up some 4" curly tail grubs today and I was wondering what would be the best way to rig it. Should I Tx. rig it, put it on a jig head or maybe on a belly weighted hook?

What's the best type of baits to use for drop shotting? Is it mostly for soft plastics or could you drop shot a crank bait too?

You can't go wrong with the Shakespeare Ugly Stik rod and reel combo from Wal-Mart. Good strong rod, solid reel, inexpensive set up.

For as long as I've been fishing I've always used spinning reels. Now that I'm working on building up my gear for bass I have noticed that a lot of bass anglers use bait cast reels. Is there a real difference or is it more of a personal preference? What, if any, are the pros and cons?
