RE:4th Annual BC Open Bass Tournament, Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island, BC

1. How many team have enterd in the past? Payout based on 50 but this is only the 4th year so is it big? In the first 3 years of this event we have had fields ranging from 20 to 30 teams, I anticipate about 25 teams this year. 2. Sounds like an amazing fishery. That is one heck of a bag of smallies....

Fished Wiser and Fazon today, Fri Feb 29

Hit the water with my buddy john today (called in sick.. ha), First up was Wiser, got on the lake at 9:30, water temps were 46-47. The wind made fishing tough but covered lots of water with slow cranks, jig n'pig, and slow rolling 1/2 oz spinner bait with black skirt and colorado blade. Saw no bass ...

RE:Lake Samish, Whatcom County - are there smallmouth in there?

There's one (maybe more, I just browsed through quickly) report of someone getting some smallies there. It's back in 03. I'd suggest reading the reports that are available to read. I also read that post, and have come across a few places on the net that reference smallmouth being in the lake but ha...

Lake Samish, Whatcom County - are there smallmouth in there?

Anyone on here fish Samish much? I was thinking about heading out there Sunday for only the second time ever. I hear there are smallies there but I have only ever caught largemouth. Any advice on finding largies or smallies this time of year in Samish would be appreciated!

cheers

RE:1st Annual Okanagan Classic Open Bass Tournament, Osoyoos Lake, Oct 4th 2008

I fished the little place where the river meets the lake by the campground (US side) last year and caught some decent fish - wish I had a boat to check out the main lake though! LOTS of rocks and docks in there to fish. You got that right, there are numerous 5lb smallies and big largies in that lake!
