I just posted some jig heads for sale in the classified forum. All are hand-poured and painted by me.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with them -- I've just got too many.

Steely Bass?
Just curious; has anyone tried using bass gear for steelhead? The 1/2 oz jerk bait might work. I've caught everything from slab crappie to smallmouth on them. Another staple is the skinny black worm. In this case, it's a slim senko. These are unique because they are relatively heavy and castable. Wh...

Re: I NEED A STEELHEAD!!!!
Thanks everyone! This has been very informative. I have a simple question: Is early better? Some people say that freezing your butt off at 7:00 AM isn't necessary. Others say it's the only way to go. (Early bird, worm, etc.) What do you think? If I can show up at 11:00 and fish in the sunlight, I'm...

Re: Meat quality question (fillet vs cleaning)
I've seen people do terrible things with their fish. In fact, this year I saw a guy catch a nice 8lb coho buck then toss it up on the bank where it sat in the sun for at least two hours. (I left first.)
Bet that one tasted a bit odd...

Re: Ouch, my eye!
I think it's important to bonk and bleed fish immediately to keep them from tasting fishy. There can be circumstances that make it impractical, but that's the goal.

To each his own. When I'm fishing for meat, it's usually slab perch.

What, no love for the spife???
This is actually a fillet knife with a "gut spoon".
Pure genius as far as I'm concerned. Now I don't have to use my thumbnail...

Re: Warning! Skykomish Car Prowlers
This is sad. Society is going downhill for sure. When I used to hunt big game, someone would always stay in camp to keep an eye on our vehicles and gear. Do we need a designated watch dog for fishing too???

Wading Boots
I need new wading boots and have been getting by with huge rubber boots -- which have zero cushion & arch support. Rather than going with traditional wading shoes, I'm toying with the idea of high-top basketball shoes that are a few sizes too big. They would be great for hiking but wet traction coul...
