Re: Redondo Launch - Parking? Pressure?
On a Thursday, you should be fine. I've been hitting it on the weekends and getting there at 0500 to ensure I get a spot. The launch is easy, but can be an adventure with a stiff wind. It's $10 to park the rig and trailer and the lot is easy to navigate. Good luck crabbing. It's flat out sucked. I'v...

Shrimp gear for "rent"
I'm going to be in La Push for the one-day shrimp madness in the Sound. I have four full shrimp setups that includes: Square pots with bait cages 400' shots of rope on a hose reel with stainless connections Four buoy setups on weighted staffs Scotty Put Puller That I would consider renting out for a...

PM me your number and I can text some pictures. I have the model info written down.eat-sleep-fish wrote:Do you know what model it is and how old? I am going to be in Federal Way this weekend and could meet up in Kent.
It is an older model as it came off of my grandpa's boat.

Live in Kent but work in South Seattle. I could meet up anywhere in that stretch. Or, am more flexible on the weekend.eat-sleep-fish wrote:Where are you located?

Re: Tribes and State look at Coho closure.
The "zero" option for tribal commercial is zero coho. That's the issue. I struggle to see why there's still a chinook season allowed for that group, but not for everybody else. Last time I checked, 50% of zero is, well, zero. For those interested in the language behind this: Table outlining sport op...

Re: Where to get starboard?
Interstate Plastics in Kent or TAP plastics sell remnants for a lot cheaper than the pre-cut sheets. I was able to get a 26"x44" sheet for $50. It's now a 20"x38" cutting board.

Another +1 for the charter special.
If you're wanting the do-it-all PNW reel, Avet MX or MXJ would be the choice though.

La Push Moorage
Anybody get Moorage for the halibut openers but can't use it? I don't think I won the lottery so need a spot for 30' of boat. I have a two-bedroom cabin reserved at the resort so looking to make the week nice and easy.

OK, that is seriously cool. I hadn't seen this one yet and it looks like it has all of the important info. SSTs would be cool as would a visualization for winds/swell forecast but as a one-stop shop it's pretty damned cool.

Re: Best all around Fish Fillet Knife?
I have the standard Dexter sanisafe knife, but I'll tell you what. The best one I've found lately is a Mustad knife that Sportco sells for like $4.99. Looks similar to this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/KVD-Mustad-7-Fillet-Knife-with-Sheath/23704235" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; bu...

That said, one of them is developing some stress cracks in the bottom portion where the top half slides in.

Possible open seat: Edmonds Coho Derby
I know, last-minute etc...
Have been on the fence about actually fishing the derby but made the commitment to run. I'll be out with my 5 year old going out of Edmonds. My plan is to be at the line for the sling by 0430.
text me at 425-753-2222 if you're interested.

I would take it back and get my full amount back, but that's just me. It's been in my garage for a few months and I'm just getting around to posting it. Figured they probably wouldn't take it back. I'll swing it by to see. Trade 'em for some river gear to donate to the Green River ;) Otherwise a Wa...

Mercruiser Oil
Have a new, unopened gallon of Mercruiser oil I bought from Auburn Sports Marine. New boat has an ETEC so no use for this anymore.
Buy it from the store for $28+ tax or buy it from me for $20. I'd also trade for lead (2 lb cannonballs/16oz jig heads) or...?
