Been buying the yearly for awhile now just for the convenience. Most of the time if we buy a 7 day pass we don't get back before it expires so the yearly actually works out better.

Make sure you get one for your motor also. I know many of them look the same, ie Evinrude/Johnson, Yamaha but there's subtle differences like size of O-ring and plunger size. Metric VS Std. Napa used to handle them and they were cheap but you really had to watch out to get the right one.

Have you found out what the problem is? You might try starting the unit without the transducer hooked up just to see if it will boot.
