RE:Frogs!
I meant to say transplant, I took bf from one spot and moved them to another, so take that however you want. doesnt anyone know all bass in wash state are not native? Yes I do know that all the bass are transplants and the carp and the perch, etc., etc. All I am saying is that WDFW takes a dim view...

RE:Clean Hands!
I read an article about how the old fisherman would spit on their bait for luck. It was found that human saliva will mask the scent left by handling lures and such. There is a book “The Fisherman's Ocean: How Marine Science Can Help You Find and Catch More Fish” By David A. Ross that deals with this...

I asked a friend on another site who is a fisheries biologist about this question and here is his answer to me: [quote="Corey"] “I'm pretty damn green in most cases, I really want wildlands protected and pollution to be controlled. But I don't think lead fishing sinkers are that big of a problem. My...

I wouldn't worry too much about fuel prices. Although I think we are going to pay 4+ bucks per gallon for a while, it is my guess that the new President will address the issue once he gets settled in. I also believe that Congress is conducting an investigation into the high fuel prices so that will...

all I was saying is in lewis county they need to stop the unting of them because they are getting scarce, the only places they are, are whereI planted them You do realize that planting bullfrogs, or any other aquatic specie without a permit from the state is illegal and for good reason. The introdu...

RE:Launching canoes and pontoons
The main reason i've heard of a boat launch fee is to cover the cost of the rebuilding/building the boat launch. If someone doesn't use the launch i dont think that the person should pay. Good point on the property though. Some boat launch's are within a park (spanaway lake) so i wouldn't feel the ...

Take it from me, I was just out "collecting" again. A few were COVERED in maggots, but in general they still smelled hideous. E I think you are missing the "Big Picture" here, E. This is an opportunity for an extra income for you. Gisteppo's Maggot Farms The best carp-fed maggots in the Northwest. ...

Sounds like the time I took my boy to see the Seahawks and had the Seattle fans screaming obsenities at us from two feet away because I was wearing my C-Boys hat and Dave was wearing his fleur de lis beanie (they were playing against and lost to the Saints). LOTS of beer and very little manners! May...

Launching canoes and pontoons
I am not sure if this is where I need to post this, but it seemed good to me. I have a canoe and just bought a used pontoon. When I have launched my canoe in the past I have seldom used the launch ramp in the places I go because they are mostly concrete planks and look to be rough on the bottom of t...

It sure is nice to have a holiday on a Friday! I will spend part of the day praying for our leaders and for our troops and just thanking God for the privilege of living in the greatest nation on earth. Most of the day I will spend with my family just hanging out and BBQing and we live close enough ...

Rattle Trap
On cavdad's recomendation I bought a Rattle Trap last year to use for bass out at Lacamas Lake and it has pretty much just sat in my tackle box since. I used it a few times here and there, but with little expectation. I went down to the Mighty Columbia Monday night at the bottom of 164th Street here...

Maybe even the president will understand!!!! Nah....too much of a stretch. President Bush got his masters degree from Harvard Business School...where did you get yours? I didn't. President Bush has been responsible for the deaths of 4,000 American soldiers in Iraq. I didn't do that either. I feel s...

Yeah, I am not really sure about that either... I sent an e-mail to WDFW and asked them about it. They usually answer right back. I will post their response here. I would hate to be missing out on a fishing opportunity! Heads up: If you ever have a question about the regs you can ask WDFW at fishre...

look at the pond by the 503 bridge near battle ground Are you meaning the ponds just north of 154th Street in Brush Prairie? I wonder if they are accessible. Have you fished Fargher Pond? Just to the north of the town of Fargher Lake at the corner of Grantham Road and NE Reid Road. I fished there o...
