Good thread. Love to learn about peoples' names.^^ As you might imagine, my handle is just my name. XD However, I usually go by Sticky or Mr. Sticky everywhere else. I was looking for a reason to give this board a bump, and I have been looking for some new fly patterns to tie, and it finally hit me to combine the two! =D
So, as an uber n00b to carping, what would be some effective flies to tie for this fall?

Cool, thnx guys. I think I'll go with shiner, cuz I've caught squawfish (in quick succession to this fish) and whitefish, and this is something different than either of those. So happy about getting to add another fish to my 'caught' list.^^))))

After the first football game of the season (WSU) I'm heading down to the Snake with some of the marching band. Soo stoked. Too bad I just brought my 4wt fly rod... =/ Ah well, fishing is always nice, even if you've got the wrong gear.^^)))))

lol I've gott'a give it hands down to an Elk Hair Caddis, size 14. Usually the only thing I ever use up here in the little streams I love. Second fav goes to a Hair Wing Thorax.
