Hit the lake at about 2:00 armed with chironomids, floating line, Type III sinking line, woolly buggers, etc. About 5-7 other boats out on the water. Most people fishing chironomids. I fished chironomids for a while with no luck before switching to sinking line with woolly buggers. To make a long story short, I tried about everything: varying leader length for the chronies, different sized chronies, different colored woolly buggers, etc. I saw one guy reel in a 22in. Brown, looked like a great battle. One other guy reported he got ten using a big chironomid on the far end of the lake. Other than that, a VERY slow day. Lots of chironomid "skins" floating around in the water.
