One of my favorite lakes due mainly to the challenging fishing at times. I love to fish dries (small ants, humpies, black and green caddis all size 16-18) and usually stick with them regardless of conditions (I'm stubborn) and what the fish are taking. I do have a small green nymph I tied that the fish seem to enjoy, don't have a name for it but do pretty well fishing it just under the surface with floating line. On this day the water was 65 degrees and not a lot of surface action. Did get three fish on top 18" cutthroat (my biggest cady cutthroat) and a couple of 12" rainbows. Two on green caddis and one on a green humpy. One of the rainbows was followed in by a very large rainbow, I'm guessing in the 27-30" range. Slow but fun. Remember to keep supporting Larry and this fishery, although tough it can yield 20-30 fish days when you hit it right.
