Went out for about 2 1/2 hours this morning. The weather had definitely taken a turn from yesterday, overcast, cold, rained and even hailed for about a half hour, the wind was also a factor at times being very cold. The water temp was at 51 degrees about 20 degrees warmer than the air temp. We trolled east to west and west to east on the lake using olive bead head buggers both of us had our limits of 12-14 inch fatties, lost a few and released a couple of 1 pound triploids that were planted last November. We seemed to be doing a lot better than folks using hardware and trolling North to South and South to North. I don't really know why but discovered this when we were breaking the lake down last night. Despite the weather it was a nice time in fact there for about the first hour we had the lake to ourselves, could be the hail had a lot to do with that.lol
