Fished Beaver Lake with Steve and Troy today...We got a late start, 10:30 am because Steve couldn't stay off the pot (3 times) all morning long...lol. Met up with some friends up at the Lake and they weren't catching anything. A few people at the boat launch were catching some small triploids that had been released the day before. We trolled the whole Lake and only had one large fish bite...and he got off. So we decided to still fish Pop's sweet spot for a few hours and caught some nice 2 to 3 lb. triploids.
Pop has been fishing Beaver most of his life...and his wife grew up at a house right on Beaver Lake...Troys grandma's house!~
The rain was on and off during the afternoon and it chilled me a little. My friend Mark and his wife didn't catch anything...and they headed home early. Around 6 pm Troy and I limited out and Steve had caught one nice Triploid. We had a nice time thats what counts. The fish were being picky today...it was nothing like it was last week or the week before. Should be interesting to see what next week brings. Tight lines...take care, Jim
