This lake is unbelievable. Very consistent and if you put in the time on it you can find some very large trout. I have floated, trolled, and still fished this lake many times. My most enjoyable is float-tubing from the bridge at Eagle Cliff on the east side into the lake. Bait is simple. Three choices. Worms, Worms, or worms. In any combination. If still fishing, you need to use an inflator or something to float the worm off the bottom.

On Aug. 3 my wife and I trolled the southwest end and caught some nice trout there. But, on the previouse week we had our daughter too. I thought this was going to be the first dissapointing trolling trip I have experienced on this lake. After a couple fruitless ours and a 4 y.o. about to orchistrate a mutnay on my boat, we decided to dock up at my favorite place by Eagle Rock and let her run around. My wife and I still fished with, you guessed it, worms floated off the bottom with rainbow power bait. In an our of non-stop action we had 8 nice 'bows ranging from 1/2lb. to a couple pounds and 17". These are all fiesty, resident, pink meat trout.

As you can tell, I can't say enough of this exceptional lake. Now that I have done you a favor, do me a favor. Treat this lake kindly. It is very unique and needs to be treated with respect. I am already seeing signes of idiots leaving their garbage behind. When you visit, don't only pick up your trash but, pick up the trash of others. The good and higher evolved human sub-species sometimes have to compensate for the leaser evolved human sub-species so that the human race as a whole is raised a couple notches on the ladder of evolution.

Thanks for helping.
