We had such good luck back in June, we decided to return. Arrived on the lake on Friday the 11th, about 9:30. The wind was blowing from across the dam, but, some construction workers at the park said it would die off about 10-11 A. M., they were right. Fished the dam area and the far north side. Since we didn't have a fish locator, we just tried the old hit and miss theory. Two of us used Deep Six divers but did not connect, except with one small Kokanee. The other rig was near the surface and also caught one small Kokanee. Trolled Green Wedding Rings with worms and Rainbow Power bait for several hours, then moved further up the Lake. We discovered a small creek and bridge several miles up lake. Very nice spot to have lunch and pick up a few bass. Caught one nice smallmouth, 3 1/2 pounds. Put him back for you guys next time.
We had lunch, and trolled back on the south side of the lake, at which time we proceeded to knock them dead. I guess it's just a matter of finding their hiding places. Without a fish locator it can be difficult, however, there seemed to be plenty here. We proceeded to limit very quickly, keeping 3 limits from 10-16 inches. All in all, another super fishing day.
