I woke up at Nile Sunday morning, brrrrrrr! I went to Ione to get a cup of Joe and to warm up my waders a bit. I put in about 8:45 a.m. and Started catching the nice Rainbows on a Green Wolly bugger. I saw some swimming nymphs and these were good imitations. Lots of hunters around. Lots of gunfire. I hope those guys look where they shoot. I saw one idiot hunting right next to the highway, walking the ditch! I saw him once in the morning about 7:45 a.m. and again in the afternoon when I left. Walking the borrow ditch all day it seemed. What an idiot, isn't there a law about hunting within a certain distance of a public highway? Anyway, the fish were cooperative and I decided to cross the highway and try Frater lk in the afternoon. Time to try some new lakes next week! These definitely have fish in them!
