Got to Cascade Hideaway at about 9:00am as the drive from Bellingham is about 3 hours. Got camp set up in spots 13 & 14, no one else in the park, (score). Launched the boat at about 10:00 & the Triple Teaser hit the water at about 10:15. Now I am not sure of the reason for what happened next but I liked it A LOT. I no sooner got my line out & set my rod in the holder to pour a cup of coffee when I hear my drag take off & the tip of my rod hit the water. I was using an 8' Steelhead rod with 15lb leaded line and about 20 yards of 4lb test leader. After the initial run of about 100 feet the fish just seemed to swim to the boat and seemed to want to co-operate fully without a fuss, until it saw the net. Again it took off for about another 50ft or so, then turned & came toward the boat again. This time when it saw the net it went down & under the boat then back around in front of us and out about 30 or so feet. I again reeled the fish in, this time to my extreme pleasure we were able to land it. I turned out to be about a 23 inch 4lb Brown Trout, NICE FISH. The rest of our stay at the lake was great, we caught & released a lot of fish and kept just enough for a good fish fry. I would highly recommend Fish Lake to anyone. !!!!!Happy Fishing!!!!!
