Fished Saturday & Sunday of "Free Fishing Weekend". Normal limit at BG is 5 over 8" so that's where we (my 11 year old son and I) stopped. Lots of game hogs, unfortunately. Fished from float tubes with sinking line & olive #8 wooly buggers. Fish followed up from bottom and hit between 6 and 2 feet from surface. My catch day 1 was 4 rainbows-9 to 13" and 1 15" brookie. Next day, same weather, same rig; one only 16" brookie. Pressure was high both days, but has reduced dramatically since (as has productivity). Only deep brookies on wooly buggers, wooly worms and other attractants. Tried hare's ear #6 and #8 with no luck;
also damsel and fragon nymphs. The meat fishermen were using worms with success. Can anyone tell me when a replant might occur?
