Put in at Connelly State Park about noon.
This is a really nice state park.. Think it's fairly new. Recall an "Airman's" Park or something here some years back. Was a little surprised that there weren't more water skier's out on this warm and sunny late June Sunday. We worked along the shoreline to the left of the ramp (south) for 2 or 3 hours
and caught one really small smallmouth (e.g... really small.. about 3 or 4 inches) and lost another one that may have tipped the scales at 8". Water and structure look real fishy. Shoreline shallows are real rocky and the drop-off is fairly gradual out to 20' or so. Usually do pretty well when I work areas like this, but it was slow today. The wind started to pick up and the water skiers started to arrive in quantity about 2:30 or so and we headed for the dock..
Surface temp was 71 to 72F
